Idemitsu will undertake the basic design of the facility for solid electrolytes, derived from sulfur (a byproduct of petroleum) and developed by Idemitsu over many years of research, in all-solid-state lithium-ion rechargeable batteries, under a project selected by NEDO's ‘Green Innovation Fund Projects/Development of Next-Generation Storage Batteries and Motor Development'.
