“3+3+3+3”战略布局模式：澳大在未来科研发展中，将突出特色优势、迈上新台阶、加强合作，坚持问题导向，重点支持体现本土特色和面向国际趋势的学科，按照“3+3+3+3”战略布局，加强中医药、微电子、智慧城市物联网三个国家重点实验室建设，建设精准肿瘤教育部前沿科学中心、生物无机与合成化学教育部联合重点实验室、区域海洋研究中心三个新兴领域研究平台，建立人工智能、数据科学、认知与脑科学三个跨学科研究平台，强化协同创新研究院在科技与人文社会科学领域的联系与合作。大学还将建设三个人文社会科学研究平台，即澳门研究中心、亚太经济与管理研究院和人文社会科学高等研究院。
