奥运会包括两个预选赛阶段和一个决赛,所有比赛都是远程举行的。 The problems for the Olympiad were developed by students and staff of a Russian IT university, led by Alexander Kolotov, leading specialist in project competitions at the Center for Pre-University Training at Innopolis University.
At the first qualifying stage, participants solved Olympiad programming problems, and at the second they created algorithms that allowed game bots to make decisions, just like a person makes them.
The final consisted of two rounds. At the first, January 31, participants solved programming problems, and at the second, February 6-7, in a limited time they had to write an algorithm for the character of the game “Snake” in PvP format: on the playing field, two snakes had to look for apples in order to earn points and increase the body of the snake, while the route of movement of the snakes had to be calculated by the algorithm so that there were no collisions between the snakes and with the boundaries of the field. At the end of each day, the system automatically checked the results, which ran between all decisions of the tournament participants in a round-robin fashion.比赛第一天的结果使我们能够了解如何改善蛇的行为。根据比赛第二天的结果,确定了最佳算法策略。
Based on the results of the two final rounds, the winner of the Olympiad and the holder of a 1st degree diploma was eleventh grader from Israel Almog Wald, a 2nd degree diploma was awarded to a 9th grader from Israel Inbar Wald, and a 3rd degree diploma was awarded to Maxim Romanovsky, a 9th grader from Belarus. The best result among the Russians belongs to Azamat Bayramov, a 10th grade student from Bashkiria - fourth place in the final ranking and third place in the ranking for the best game strategy in the final.
