The competition was held in a distributed format - 42 finalists could take part in the final stage without leaving their regions. More than 2,000 people took part in the selection. The organizers and developers of the profile are BiTronics Lab, Moscow State University of Psychology and Education and Novosibirsk State University. The partners of the profile are the Open Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence of the Central Committee of the II NTI and the Neurotrend company.

The final task was to develop a system for assessing the emotional state of the operator using biosignal analysis. Such systems can help determine a person’s emotional state, even if he himself is not aware of it and does not show it in any way.

“Avatars” worked with the finalist teams—specialists who followed the participants’ instructions in practice when working with the equipment. Avatars recorded biological signals and performed other operations. Thus, the finalists were able to demonstrate their skills not only in programming and data analysis methods, but also in communications with external people.

General Director of BiTronics Lab, head of the Open Laboratory of Artificial Intelligence of the NTI Competence Center "Artificial Intelligence" of MIPT Timur Bergaliev noted:

Among the prize-winners and winners of the Olympiad are high school students from the Moscow (1 person), Novgorod (1), Novosibirsk (3) and Tomsk (1) regions, as well as from Moscow (4). In the team competition, the best result was shown by the Frineo team (Alexey Koretsky, Sofia Seibert, Anastasia Monogova, Arina Pecherskaya). The “Codriceps” team (Vitaly Ovchinnikov, Yuri Yazev, Konstantin Tikhonov, David Shirikyan) was awarded in a special nomination for ninth grades.
