It will be attended by the president and founder of the Cognitive Technologies company Olga Uskova, the deputy governor of the Tomsk region for the scientific and educational complex Lyudmila Ogorodova, the rector of TUSUR Alexander Shelupanov, the head of the Siberian branch of Keysight Technologies in Russia Evgeny Andronov.

The event will take place as part of a session organized in Tomsk to determine the contours and framework for updating the Strategy for the socio-economic development of the Tomsk region.

The Cognitive Technologies Laboratory is being created at TUSUR within the framework of a cooperation agreement that TUSUR Rector Alexander Shelupanov and the head of the Cognitive Technologies company Olga Uskova signed at the opening of the U-NOVUS 2018 forum. Also at the forum, the agreement between the region and the Cognitive Technologies company was signed by the Governor of the Tomsk Region Sergei Zhvachkin.

The opening of a specialized joint laboratory will allow for the effective development and implementation of joint educational, research and innovation projects and programs to meet the needs of the regional economy.

As the head of the Cognitive Technologies company emphasized when signing the agreement, “TUSUR has the necessary base - a serious mathematical school, because the university was created as a specialized institute specifically for the latest radio electronics technologies. We need such infrastructure if we want to make Tomsk a world center for neural programming and the production of sensors for robotics.”
