The WSJ editorial highlighted a new assessment tool created by the City Journal, which evaluated 100 prominent public and private colleges in the United States on 68 variables across 21 categories covering major aspects of on- and off-campus life.

Joining UGA in the top 10 were institutions including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Florida, the University of Notre Dame, and the University of Texas at Austin.
