来源:Aviation24.beA wildcat strike by ground handling agent Aviapartner is disrupting air traffic this Monday morning, June 15. Around 15 flights have been affected, with delays ranging from one to two hours.
The exact reason for the walkout remains unclear, but it is not the first — and likely not the last — instance of social unrest affecting operations at Belgium’s largest airport.
The strike, which reportedly began between 03:30 and 04:00, is affecting check-in operations, resulting in long queues for passengers. Brussels Airport has expressed regret over the disruption and is advising travellers to arrive at the airport well in advance of their departure time.
Airlines that may be affected include TUI fly, Ryanair, Iberia and British Airways. Brussels Airlines, the airport’s largest carrier, is not affected as its ground handling services are provided by Alyzia.
