印度航空快运 (Air India Express) 着眼于欧洲扩张；计划进入格鲁吉亚

Tata Group-promoted Air India Express is set to expand its international footprint into Europe, with the airline actively evaluating the launch of non-stop services to Georgia during the upcoming Winter Schedule, sources told businessline.

When contacted, the airline did not respond to businessline’s queries.

Sources said the proposed entry into Eastern Europe forms part of the airline’s broader strategy to strengthen its international network across short-to-medium haul markets.

Besides, the airline has restored nearly 80 per cent of its West Asia operations and currently serves 13 destinations across the Gulf, maintaining its leadership position on the strategically important India-Gulf corridor.

Furthermore, sources pointed out that Southeast Asia has emerged as another key growth market for the airline.

Following recent network additions in Bangkok and Phuket, the airline, sources said is evaluating opportunities to expand its presence in Malaysia.

Alongside its international expansion plans, sources indicated that Air India Express is preparing to launch at least five new domestic stations in 2026.

From a network spanning 43 domestic and 16 international destinations, the airline is steadily building one of India’s largest short-haul route networks across South Asia, Southeast Asia, West Asia and, potentially, Eastern Europe.

According to sources, the airline’s expansion strategy has focused on “disciplined and sustainable growth through network and fleet expansion while maintaining operational consistency and service standards”.

Notably, Air India Express recently crossed the 100-aircraft milestone, with nearly two-thirds of its fleet comprising new-generation aircraft, supporting both scale and operational efficiency.
