Collectively this will ensure that the Council has access to a variety of placement options that is able to meet the changing needs of children in care and care leavers during the lifetime of this strategy. • The Council has an adaptable post 16 accommodation and support offer for older children- in-care and care leavers, enabling skills to be enhanced, with local networks and connections being strengthened, removing barriers in accessing and sustaining accommodation, as well as accessing employment and training opportunities that will enable independent living to be achieved. • The Council develops and delivers a flexible accommodation offer for Care Leavers to access post 18 years old, in addition to ongoing support enable young people to access a variety of housing and support options within their community.
