COURSE DESCRIPTION This course provides a foundational understanding of blood banking and immunohematology, focusing on the principles and practices essential for safe and effective blood transfusion.Students will explore key topics, including the structure and types of immunoglobulins, major and minor blood group systems, and the use of anticoagulants in blood banking.The course also covers donor selection, blood collection procedures, and processing, along with the management of transfusion reactions and hemolytic disease of the newborn (HDN).此外,学生还将深入了解血液产品的制剂,存储和质量控制。Practical skills such as ABO and Rh blood grouping, cross-matching, Coombs tests, and antibody screening will be developed, preparing students for roles in clinical and laboratory settings.
