Specific learning disability (SLD) means a disorder in one or more of the basic psychological processes involved in understanding or in using language, spoken or written, that may manifest itself in the imperfect ability to listen, think, speak, read, write, spell, or to do mathematical calculations, including conditions such as perceptual disabilities, brain injury, minimal brain dysfunction, dyslexia, and developmental aphasia.特定的学习障碍不包括主要是视觉,听力或运动障碍,智力障碍,情感障碍或环境,文化或经济劣势的结果(34 C.F.R.300.8(c)(10))。
